Exclamation Drive access

Hey guys, lil problem I'm sitting with.

Problem: Me and some friends we LANing, thus I set my terabyte up to share. All nice an fine til after the LAN, we dc'ed and now I don't have any access to the drive at all...not even to view the permissions, non the less set them.

This is kinda critical as it contains some precious/hard to acquire software as-well as some 210GB of media...

Yes, I am the administrator of the system , yet...nothing works...

The thought of formatting windows 7 (again in 2 days) came by me...(To be avoided)

The ironic part is that i have some tools to help unlock HDDs but they are all on the locked drive(No I cant download them/find them again)..

Ok, so any help will be appreciated .

Is the drive one or many partitions and what format are they (NTFS, FAT32, ext3, etc)

Have you tried to access the drive from a Live Linux CD?

I only have 1 partition on the drive, and its NTFS. No but I have given it some thought. The only problem is that I don't have Linux... I tested it on another pc, and form on then it said that I have to format it before I could use it...

Now as you yourself might know that formatting is NOT an option, as my whole database of movies/music/pics are stored in this terabyte.

I will try the Linux cd, I just hope it works.
PS. Device manager picks it up, as does Disc manager,: Reports a healthy NTFS partition in good order, but it simply continues to say: Access is denied, when I try to access it in any way...
